ALMOST THE HOTTEST DAY EVER IN ROSEBURG

Saturday was almost the hottest day ever in the history of Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 108 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That was easily a new record high for the date, eclipsing the previous record of 98 degrees set on August 15th, 2017.

Roseburg’s hottest day was when the temperature hit 109 degrees on July 20th, 1946.

Medford also reached 108 degrees Saturday, to tie the record high for the date, previously set in 2008.
