COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 386 AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 386 as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 412 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state case total to 23,018. The new cases include:

*79 in Multnomah County

*75 in Marion County

*56 in Washington County

*38 in Clackamas County

*36 in Umatilla County

*25 in Malheur County

*13 each in Yamhill and Linn counties

*12 in Jefferson County

*10 in Deschutes County

*6 each in Lane, Lincoln and Jackson counties

*4 in Benton County

*3 in Columbia County

*2 each in Clatsop, Curry, Josephine, Klamath and Wasco counties

*1 each in Baker, Crook, Douglas, Hood River, Union and Wallowa counties

Oregon’s 386th COVID-19 death is a 71-year old man in Jefferson County who tested positive on August 6th and died on August 14th at St. Charles Medical Center. He had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
