A Roseburg man was cited after charging at a car on Thursday morning.

Information from Roseburg Police said at 7:15 a.m. an officer observed a 56-year old man, who was riding his bicycle, begin to cross Southeast Pine on Southeast Mosher toward the river. The report said there was a passenger car at a safe distance behind the bicyclist, also crossing Pine.

The report said the man became extremely agitated and started yelling at the two female occupants inside the car. When the vehicle stopped, the man allegedly started punching the driver side window and tried to reach inside the open window. The driver sped off and ran over the top of the man’s foot.

The report said the man was clearly the agitator during the incident. He was cited for second degree disorderly conduct and then was released.

An officer attempted to locate the vehicle involved but was unable to.
