A Eugene man died in a single vehicle wreck on Wednesday morning.

Information from the Oregon State Police said just after 10:45 a.m. troopers responded to Highway 38 just outside of Drain near milepost 51.

A preliminary investigation revealed that an SUV operated by 28-year old Alec Beutler, was westbound when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Beutler sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OSP was assisted by several agencies.
