Search crews located a missing 5-year old child Sunday afternoon.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said staff began looking for Charity Smith after she was reported missing around 3:00 p.m. The girl lives at a home in the 400-block of Stouts Creek Road in Days Creek. She had been missing for about three hours when the report came in.

Search crews found the girl at around 5:15 p.m. and reunited her with her family. Specific details about where she was located were not released.

Douglas County Search and Rescue, Myrtle Creek Police Department and REACH Air Medical Services were all involved in the search.
