A deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Roseburg man on charges of fourth degree assault and strangulation on Wednesday night.

A DCSO report said at about 9:15 p.m. 28-year old Blake Cadger had allegedly got upset at a woman and hit her at a residence in the 200 block of Harmony in the Green District. Cadger reportedly threw several items at the victim before the two started wrestling on the floor when the suspect allegedly put the woman in a choke hold. The report said the victim said she blacked out and could not breath.

Additional charges were added after the arrest.
