One person was hurt in a wreck on Interstate Five on Thursday morning.

A report from the Oregon State Police said at around 6:50 a.m. a vehicle driven by a 20-year old Sutherlin woman was headed southbound near the Edenbower exit, when another vehicle, driven by a 19-year old Hillsboro woman, passed the first vehicle on the right and then changed lanes, clipping the front passenger fender of the first vehicle, causing it to lose control and come to rest on the southbound shoulder. The second vehicle also lost control and hit the center median, stopping on the inside shoulder.

The first driver said she saw the second vehicle coming up behind her and noticed a third vehicle that had been flashing its lights and making obscene gestures to the second vehicle before that vehicle passed on the right. The second driver also said someone had been following her and flashing their lights, before she passed and changed lanes, hitting the first vehicle.

The first driver was taken to Mercy Medical Center. The second vehicle sustained front end damage and had to be towed from the scene. The report said the third vehicle was never identified.
