A Roseburg man was cited for reckless driving after a wreck on Thursday afternoon.
A report from Roseburg Police said at 2:00 p.m. the 27-year old was traveling north on Northeast Winchester when he made a right hand turn onto Northeast O’Dell. A witness said the man took the corner fast enough that it appeared the passenger side tires lifted off the ground. The report said the man over corrected once on O’Dell and ran into an unoccupied sedan which was parked on the side of the street.
The impact was hard enough that it pushed the vehicle hit about 25 feet up onto the curb against the back side of the News Review building. The report said there did not appear to be any damage to the building.
The driver left a note on the door handle of the vehicle hit and went home. He was contacted at his residence by police a short time later and was brought back to the crash scene.
The motorist was also found to have two warrants for his arrest. The vehicle hit had to be towed from the scene.
