COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 316 as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 416 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 18,131. The new cases include:
*101 in Umatilla County
*63 in Washington County
*61 in Multnomah County
*38 in Marion County
*22 in Clackamas County
*18 in Malheur County
*15 in Deschutes County
*12 in Jefferson County
*11 in Yamhill County
*10 each in Lane and Jackson counties
*9 in Morrow County
*7 each in Benton and Polk counties
*5 in Hood River County
*4 each in Coos and Linn counties
*3 each in Bake and Columbia counties
*2 each in Douglas, Clatsop, Crook, Lincoln and Wasco counties
*1 each in Klamath, Lake and Union counties
The update said Umatilla County’s case count appears to be very high due to a delay in processing their electronic laboratory reports.
The new deaths ranged in age from 66 to 85. 3 lived in Multnomah County while 2 lived in Umatilla County. All had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
