MAN HURT IN CAR VERSUS BICYCLE ACCIDENT

A Roseburg man was hurt in a car versus bicycle accident on Tuesday.

A report from the Roseburg Police said shortly after 10:00 a.m. a female motorist was turning from West Fairhaven onto West Harvard and didn’t see a bicyclist in the crosswalk in front of her. The vehicle struck the rider with its front bumper, knocking the 59-year old man to the ground.

The report said the man landed on his left hip and complained of pain. The man was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he is in serious condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.
