A Roseburg man was cited for unauthorized use of a vehicle on Friday night.

A report from Roseburg Police said just before 7:30 p.m. a victim called and said her vehicle had been stolen. An officer spotted it near Riverside Park on Southeast Spruce. The report said the vehicle was stopped and the driver began walking away.

The man was detained after the victim said she did not know the suspect and had not given him permission to drive the vehicle. 19-year old Austen Ward was also cited for first degree criminal mischief and for second degree theft. He was released after the citation was issued.
