The Roseburg City Council will meet Monday night with a variety of items on the agenda.

Councilors will have a public hearing and will decide whether to award a design services contract for the Douglas Avenue Improvements Project. They will vote on whether to follow a staff recommendation to reject all bids for the Stewart Parkway Bridge End Panel Repair Project.

A few other items are on the agenda including interviewing three people who have applied for an open seat on the Planning Commission. The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m.to conduct the interviews. It is likely that an appointment will be made during the regular meeting which will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the area, the meeting will be conducted via Zoom. Residents who have comments for the public hearing or for the public comment portion of the meeting, can email them to City Recorder Amy Sowa by 4:00 p.m. The public can view the meeting through the City website, on its Facebook page or on Charter Cable channel 191.
