COVID-19 CLAIMS 9 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 282 AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 9 more lives, with the state death toll at 282 as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 396 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 16,104. The new cases include:

*71 in Multnomah County

*59 in Umatilla County

*58 in Marion County

*54 in Washington County

*25 in Clackamas County

*22 in Jefferson County

*18 in Malheur County

*16 each in Lane and Deschutes counties

*8 in Yamhill County

*7 in Linn County

*6 each in Douglas and Polk counties

*5 in Jackson County

*4 in Hood River County

*2 each in Klamath and Curry counties

*1 each in Baker, Columbia, Crook, Gilliam, Josephine, and Wasco Counties

The new deaths range in age from 61 to 96. 2 people each lived in Umatilla, Multnomah and Deschutes counties. 1 each lived in Clackamas, Malheur, and Marion counties.
