Crews from the Douglas Forest Protective Association and North Douglas County Fire and EMS responded to three fires on Thursday morning, between Yoncalla and Drain along Eagle Valley Road.
Firefighters arrived on the scene of the first two fires shortly after 11:00 a.m. which were located near the intersection of Coffee Crossing Lane and Eagle Valley Road. Both fires were quickly contained. While working on those fires, a third fire was reported about a mile north of that location, near the Drain Curves. Crews were also quickly able to contain that fire.
The three Coffee Crossing Fires burned a combined total of a quarter of an acre of wildland fuels. Firefighters remained on the scene of the fires until 1:30 p.m., mopping up hot spots and securing control lines.
The cause of the fires is currently under investigation.
