A Roseburg man was cited for improper use of emergency communications on Monday.

Information from the Roseburg Police said around 4:15 p.m. the 56-year old was contacted after he had called 911 six times. The report said the man was warned to stop calling unless there was an actual emergency. The last time the man called, he reportedly told dispatchers he was calling just to say he was okay.

The man was released after being cited.
