A log truck trailer crashed, blocking part of a road for about two hours on Monday.

A report from the Roseburg Police said at about 10:30 a.m. a 48-year old Coos Bay man was traveling south on Interstate Five with two loads of logs. The driver exited the freeway at Edenbower Boulevard and stopped for the light.

Once the light turned green, the man proceeded through the intersection as he made a left turn onto the overpass, when the rear trailer of his rig began to tip. The report said the trailer tipped all the way over as it entered the overpass and the load of logs struck the overpass railing and fencing. The railing, fencing and sidewalk were all damaged from the collision.

The driver was not hurt. A self-loader responded to pick up the logs. Roseburg Police cited the driver for operating with a shifting load.
