MONDAY TIES FOR HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR FOR ROSEBURG

Monday tied for the hottest day of the year so far in Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 97 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. It also got to 97 degrees on June 27th.

The hot temperature was not a record high for the date. The record was 109 degrees reached on July 20th, 1946.

Medford reached 101 degrees. That was also not a record.

Roseburg is forecast to be in the lower 90s on Tuesday. Starting Wednesday, high temperatures are expected to be in the 80s through Saturday before getting back into the 90s starting on Sunday.
