The Douglas County Public Works Department, in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Transportation, will be closing Old Highway 99N at Oakland Bridge between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. this Thursday for pre-design work.

The bridge, which is also known as the Calapooya Creek Bridge, is on the Oakland-Shady Highway at the northwest end of Oakland. That is where Northeast 1st Street crosses over Calapooya Creek. Northbound traffic will be detoured to Stearns Lane. Southbound traffic will be detoured to Green Valley Road.

Motorists are asked to use caution as they travel through this area.
