The Roseburg St. Vincent de Paul Society will be distributing food boxes from the main parking lot of St. Joseph Catholic Church starting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Boxes will be available until all have been handed out. Those in need can just come to the parking lot, open their trunk, and the food will be placed inside.

Sutherlin and Myrtle Creek St. Vincent de Paul locations will have food boxes as well. The food is part of a grant that the Catholic Church in western Oregon has received to help those less fortunate. The goal of the organization is to serve the poor and disadvantaged in local communities by providing emergency assistance for utilities, household and personal items.

The Roseburg office of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is open Monday and Wednesday on the St. Joseph campus at the corner of West Harvard and Stewart Parkway. Call 580-0680 for more information.
