There is 1 new confirmed case, and 2 new presumptive cases of COVID-19 in Douglas County as of Wednesday.
An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 56. Of those, 1 person remains hospitalized. 16 people are in isolation. There have been zero deaths. 5,550 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.
The new confirmed case was a presumptive case on Tuesday, so it moved to the other category. That is why 3 cases were reported Wednesday, yet the total number of cases only increased by 2, according to the Douglas Public Health Network.
The next drive through testing clinic from the DPHN will be on Friday. Those without a primary care provider who are looking to be tested for COVID-19, should contact the Sutherlin Aviva Health Center at 459-3788.
The local COVID-19 Hotline remains open for those with questions about the virus. Call 464-6550 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.
