A transient was jailed for menacing by Roseburg Police Monday afternoon.

The RPD report said at about 2:35 p.m. officers were conducting an unrelated investigation in Gaddis Park when they recognized the 26-year old who allegedly gave a false name, and was wanted for an incident of domestic violence that reportedly occurred earlier that morning.

The man was also detained for providing false information to a police officer and for warrants that were out for his arrest.
