NEW GUIDANCE REGARDING FACE COVERING USE IN OREGON

June 25, 2020 2:45 p.m.

The Oregon Health Authority has released updated guidance for face covering use for Oregonians statewide.

An OHA release said one note of strong recommendation is that all individuals age 2 and over wear a mask, face shield, or other face covering at all times in all indoor public spaces. The guidance said that applies particularly in places where it is likely that physical distancing of at least six feet from other individuals outside their household cannot be maintained at all times, and where vulnerable people must go.

That recommendation applies regardless of county of residence. More information regarding it is linked with our story at www.541radio.com: https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le2288K.pdf

Face coverings in public are now required in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Marion, Lincoln and Hood River counties. A majority of the state’s residents, live in those seven counties.
