A suspected medical issue led to a single vehicle wreck under a bridge on Thursday afternoon.

A report from Roseburg Police said at around 4:00 p.m. a 60-year old man was in the parking lot near the train in Stewart Park when he felt a panic attack coming on. The report said he drove east on Stewart Park Drive where he had the suspected medical issue and lost consciousness. The man drifted off the south side of the roadway and drove through a grassy field, where the vehicle struck a tree. His vehicle then hit the dirt embankment at the base of the bridge and went airborne, ending up under the bridge.

The report said the man was checked out by medical personnel but refused medical transport and said he was uninjured.
