A Roseburg man was jailed for second degree disorderly conduct by Roseburg Police on Wednesday afternoon.
Information from RPD said at about 5:00 p.m. the 69-year old called 911 to report that he was trespassing at the Rodeway Inn. As the same time, motel staff called dispatchers, making a similar report. The staff reported that when the man was asked to get off the property, the suspect said he had a firearm and would shoot anyone that came into the room.
The report said after a brief conversation, the man emerged peacefully from the room. An investigation revealed that the man had been invited in by the current tenant. No weapons were discovered and the man was taken into custody without incident.
He was also charged with improper use of 911. Bail was set at $8,750.
