DRIVER JAILED FOR METH, DUII

A Eugene man was jailed for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and DUII alcohol after a traffic stop on Tuesday night.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just before 7:00 p.m. a deputy pulled over a northbound vehicle near Cottage Grove. The report said during the stop the deputy developed a reasonable suspicion that the 49-year old driver was intoxicated. He consented to field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUII.

During a search of the vehicle, evidence was located including over 13 grams of meth, which was seized. The driver was taken to jail where he provided a BAC of .12.

The man was detained on $50,000 bail.
