WYDEN TO HOLD VIRTUAL TOWN HALL FRIDAY

June 17, 2020 3:30 a.m.

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden will have a live on-line town hall on Friday for residents of Douglas, Coos and Curry counties.

A release said it will be hosted by Town Hall Project and will begin at 11:00 a.m.

The release said anyone wanting to watch the meeting can go to a Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/TownHallProject/posts/2612876445633784

Video at that link is also available to people who don’t have a Facebook account. Residents who would like to participate by asking Wyden a question can fill out a form for consideration by the Town Hall project: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScxznOmr_OBP9ccchZfulX2GZzzBO4DISfCPKEvqMAsxUM_XQ/viewform

The release said Wyden has postponed in-person town halls until there are clear-cut public health guidelines that a large open-to-all public meeting, poses no unusual health risk for Oregonians. Friday’s event is the third in a series of six regional town halls Wyden is planning for Oregonians throughout the state.

Wyden said, “while the virtual format this time with me joining from Washington D.C. differs, I expect the conversation will be just as robust”. He said he looks forward to hearing from residents of the three counties.
