MAN JAILED AFTER INCIDENT ON VINE

A Roseburg man was jailed following an incident on Northeast Vine Street on Monday afternoon.

Information from Roseburg Police said just before 5:00 p.m. two people were sitting in a vehicle in the parking area of Roseburg Martial Arts Academy when 38-year old Adam Rodgers allegedly walked up and for no apparent reason, broke out the rear hatch window of their van, with his backpack. He then yelled at a passenger, who is a juvenile, and then fled the scene.

Rodgers was located a short time later trespassing on the railroad tracks along Airport Road. The suspect was allegedly non-compliant and was ultimately tackled and taken into custody.

Rodgers was charged with first degree criminal trespass, second degree counts of criminal mischief and criminal trespass, menacing, reckless endangering and for interfering with police. Bail was set at $31,250.
