Covering coastal Douglas County:
A North Bend man died following a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 101 approximately two miles north of Gardiner on Saturday night.
A report from the Oregon State Police said just before 7:25 p.m. a sedan operated by 29-year old Stevie Shuey of Pleasanton, California was northbound when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a sedan driven by 69-year old Michael Lindsey.
Lindsey sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Shuey was taken by Life Flight to an area hospital.
A passenger in the car hit, 33-year old Erica Billingslea of Coos Bay, was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Troopers are investigating a potential DUII by Shuey and are asking anyone that might have witnessed poor driving to call OSP Southern Command at 800-442-2068.
OSP was assisted by several agencies in dealing with the accident scene.
