The Roseburg City Council will vote on adopting a budget for the upcoming fiscal year at its meeting on Monday night.
The proposed budget is just under $76.6 million dollars. That includes just under $28 million in the General Fund budget. The Budget Committee, which includes councilors and a group of citizens has already approved the budget, but a public hearing must be held to take citizen input prior to its final adoption.
The council will also discuss approving start-up funds and making a long-term commitment to help with the costs of a Sobering Center. The CEO of Adapt, Dr. Greg Brigham will make a presentation to the council prior to its vote.
A number of other items are on the agenda.
While the council will have its first meeting back in the Council Chambers, due to social distancing guidelines there is only enough room for councilors, staff, and presenters. Citizens who want to address the council during the public hearings or audience participation segment, can go to the Ford Room at the Roseburg Public Library where they can watch the meeting and phone in with comments or questions.
The council meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.
