TWO CITED AFTER THEFT INCIDENT

Two men were cited by Roseburg Police after a theft incident on Friday.
The report said at 12:15 p.m. a 22-year old from Springfield allegedly ran out of Big 5 with a hand cart full of items he did not pay for. The man jumped into a vehicle driven by another man and left the area. The report said the pair were stopped at Sherm’s for the theft. The first suspect was allegedly found in possession of heroin. The passenger in the vehicle, a 25-year old also from Springfield, reportedly had a handgun concealed under his seat. He allegedly had some methamphetamine in his pocket and some heroin next to him.
The first suspect was cited for second degree theft and for unlawful possession of heroin. The second man was cited for unlawful possession of a firearm and counts for the two drugs.
Both were released after being cited.
