MAN JAILED AFTER SHOPLIFTING INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was jailed after a shoplifting incident on Saturday.
Information from Roseburg Police said at 10:30 a.m. 28-year old Brandon Kamberger allegedly stole a bottle of alcohol from the liquor store on Northeast Stephens.
The report said when he left with the liquor, he was trespassed in a posted alley. The report said the man demanded that police shoot him and tried to leave. When he was stopped, he reportedly tried to grab a large knife on his belt. The officer was able to remove the knife and throw it away. Kamberger reportedly physically resisted being handcuffed and was tackled to the ground. He was arrested without further incident and was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
He was held for the drug charge, for resisting arrest, second degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. He was detained without bail.
