An Azalea man was jailed for strangulation and other charges following an incident Saturday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 2:00 p.m. deputies responded to a residence on Autumn Lane. A female victim reported that the man had strangled her.
64-year old Robert Thompson was also charged with menacing and harassment. Bail was initially set at $15,000.
