A Myrtle Creek man was arrested on Saturday, on charges related to a May 8th disturbance.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on the earlier date, deputies responded to a call in the 200 block of Hewes Creek in the Myrtle Creek area. The report said deputies were told by witnesses that 36-year old Justin Kuske had pointed a pistol at an elderly man and grabbed him by the shirt. After that, he reportedly prevented the victim from calling 911, and then took off.
The report said the suspect had left the scene before deputies arrived. He was believed to have two semi-automatic firearms with him.
On Saturday deputies contacted Kuske in Canyonville and arrested him without incident. Charges included menacing, harassment, pointing a firearm at another, interfering with making a police report, along with other counts. Bail was initially set at $72,500.
