Nearly 24 percent of registered voters have cast a ballot in the May Primary Election.
Douglas County Clerk Dan Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that as of Thursday afternoon, 19,482 voters have turned their ballot in. That’s less than 3 percent ahead of the same time in the 2018 primary election, but nearly 10 percent behind the last presidential primary election in 2016.
Loomis said voters should utilize one of the 13 Douglas County election drop box sites to return their ballot. The list of locations is linked with this story at www.541radio.com: http://www.co.douglas.or.us/clerk/drop_site_locations.asp
Ballots are due back by next Tuesday night May 19th at 8:00 p.m.
