Over 17 percent of registered voters have returned their ballot in the May Primary Election.
Douglas County Clerk Dan Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that as of Monday afternoon, 14,318 ballots have come in. Loomis said that is just over 3 percent ahead of the same time in 2018. Compared to the May 2016 election, the participation rate is currently about 3 percent behind.
Loomis said Monday was a busy day as 4,079 ballots were received.
