A Sutherlin man was cited for second degree theft following an incident at Home Deport on Tuesday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at 1:00 p.m. the 50-year old allegedly selected numerous tools and placed them inside a tote. The suspect then walked out of the store without paying, which caused an alarm to sound. The man was stopped by a customer but later fled the area. He was located a short distance away.
He was released after being cited.
