Just under 3 percent of ballots have been turned in for the May Primary Election in Douglas County.
Douglas County Clerk Dan Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that as of Tuesday afternoon 2,278 ballots have been received. That is 2.76 percent of the registered voters. Loomis said that is consistent with the same time in the 2018 election cycle.
Ballots can be mailed in with the postage-free envelope that was provided. They can also be taken to one of many drop-boxes that are around Douglas County. A list of locations is linked with this story: http://www.co.douglas.or.us/clerk/drop_site_locations.asp.
Ballots are due back by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 19th.
