MAN JAILED FOLLOWING WRECK

A Salem man was jailed on multiple counts following a wreck on Interstate Five on Monday afternoon.
A report from Oregon State Police said about 3:30 p.m. 35-year old Jason Haynes was northbound in the Oakland area when for an unknown reason, he lost control of the vehicle. The report said it veered to the right where it struck a ditch and rolled, coming to an uncontrolled rest, right side up in an adjacent ditch.
Haynes was held for unlawful possession of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine, for carrying a concealed weapon and for an assault. He was detained on $165,000 bail. The report contained no more information regarding what led to those charges.
