A police K-9 bit a man who had threatened to shoot him, on Saturday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 10:30 p.m. deputies responded to a home in the 100 block of Pleasant Avenue, just north of Roseburg, for a possible restraining order violation.
The report said 46-year old Guy Mann was located in a room on the back side of the house. Records confirmed the man is restrained from being at that address.
The report said Mann barricaded himself and refused to come out. He allegedly said he was going to shoot K-9 Grim. Mann also reportedly asked that a deputy shoot him. Eventually Grim bit the man, and the suspect was taken into custody. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center for evaluation before going to jail.
Mann was detained for resisting arrest and for the restraining order violation. Bail was set at $12,500.
