Staff with the American Red Cross has several blood drives scheduled this week.
Information from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many blood drives have been cancelled so the need for blood is even greater. Those who are healthy, feeling well and eligible to give blood are urged to participate. An advance appointment must be made. Go to www.redcrossblood.org to get signed up. Blood drives include:
*Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at South Umpqua High School in Myrtle Creek and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Roseburg Blood Donation Center
*Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the YMCA of Douglas County
*Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Glendale High School and from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at South River Community Health Center in Winston.
*Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at North Bend High School
*Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sutherlin Community Center and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Red Cross Blood Donation Center.
