Greater Douglas United Way has granted $5,000 to the Family Development Center from its COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund.
Charlene Stutes said FDC is distributing and delivering emergency food boxes to families without transportation. She said in just three days, the agency exhausted the entire month’s food resources and these funds will directly replenish their supply.
The COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund was established to help the community with urgent needs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. 100 percent of all funds raised will stay local and go to support community organizations and individuals in need due to the situation.
Donations can be made at www.gduway.org. Checks can be sent to United Way at 702 Southeast Jackson in Roseburg, 97470. They can also be taken to any branch of Banner Bank in the county.
