COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives in Oregon with 59 new cases reported as of Saturday.
Information from the Oregon Health Authority said that brings the total numbers of cases to 1,844. The new cases include:
*26 in Multnomah County
*18 in Marion County
*4 in Washington County
*2 cases each in Deschutes, Klamath, Linn and Umatilla counties
*1 case each in Clackamas, Curry, Jackson and Polk counties
A case originally reported as a Yamhill County case has since been determined to be a Polk County case so the number of new cases in Polk County has been changed to reflect that.
Oregon’s 71st COVID-19 death is a 62-year old man in Clackamas County who tested positive on April 2nd and died on April 16th at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.
Oregon’s 72nd COVID-19 death is an 84-year old man in Marion County who tested positive on April 2nd and died April 17th at Salem Hospital.
Both had underlying medical conditions, according to OHA.
