Two people were ejected off a motorcycle, sending the driver to the hospital on Thursday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 4:30 p.m. a man was riding his motorcycle on Lookingglass when he came up to the intersection with Dairy Loop. The report said the man applied his brakes and locked the tires. The motorcycle slid straight into a field hitting the barbed wire fence and ejecting both people onto a field.
The man was taken to Mercy Medical Center before being flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. The woman received several bruises and complained of rib and knee pain. She was treated and released.
