ADAPT WITH NEW PROTOCOLS FOR COVID-19

As communities work to combat and contain COVID-19, Adapt has implemented new protocols to reach people seeking care for substance use and behavioral health disorders.
Adapt Clinical Director Thomas Sorrells said for those who rely on treatment services, they remain open and working at full capacity to serve its clients and the community. Available services include assessment, group and individual counseling, medication assisted treatment, peer delivered services, detox and residential treatment for both youth and adults.
Sorrells said efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus leave many isolated and at greater risk of harm from addiction and related problems. He said people in treatment for substance use disorders or those in recovery may have a particularly hard time with isolation.
The Adapt release said during this time of social distancing, it offers a full range of treatment services via telehealth. New and existing patients can engage in those services by phone or computer. In-person treatment remains available for those who cannot access telehealth.
Adapt has adopted a new screening policy across all locations to protect patients. Those seeking in-person treatment will be asked screening questions and have their temperature taken. Patients feeling sick are asked to call before coming in.
