A Glide man was hurt in a motorcycle wreck in the Oakland area on Wednesday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 3:15 p.m. the 78-year old was southbound on Elkhead Road riding with friends when he laid the bike down in a left-hand corner in the 12,000 block. The rider slid off the road and hit a caution sign. He sustained several injuries in the crash and flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield.
