Greater Douglas United Way has announced that the Ford Family Foundation has pledged $10,000 to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund overseen by the local United Way.
The release said the fund has been established to help the local community with urgent needs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. 100% of all funds raised will stay in Douglas County.
The release thanked the Ford Family Foundation and said that once again “they have stepped forward supporting our community in a time of need”.
Those who want to support the fund can make online donations at: www.gduway.org. Checks can be mailed to United Way at 702 Southeast Jackson in Roseburg, 97470. Donations can also be made at any branch of Banner Bank in the county.
So far over $63,000 has been raised for the fund with $25,000 going out to local member agencies.
