1 ARRESTED, 3 CITED FOLLOWING OAKLAND INCIDENT

1 person was arrested and 3 people were cited following an incident in the Oakland area on Tuesday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 1:15 p.m. a woman in the 4500 block of Driver Valley Road reported that she had just chased two males and two females off her property who were attempting to break in. The woman gave a description of the vehicle the group had left in.
Deputies located the vehicle in the 4600 block of Elkhead Road and conducted a traffic stop, detaining all 4 people.
The report said that during the course of the investigation it was determined by Sutherlin Police that nothing was broken into or stolen, but the victim wanted to press charges for trespassing.
The report said drug paraphernalia was found in plain view in the vehicle. A search allegedly resulted in about 13 grams of methamphetamine being found along with 1 gram of heroin.
33-year old Christopher Houx of Myrtle Creek was jailed on charges that included unlawful possession of meth, being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, tampering with evidence, offensive littering, second degree trespass and for warrants.
The other three people were cited on various charges and were released on the scene
