On Tuesday the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a donation of personal protective equipment from Jamie Karpontinis of Aviva Health.
Information from DCSO said the donation included gloves, masks, and sanitizing wipes.
Karpontinis said Aviva “wanted to assist deputies who are working on the front lines with some much-needed PPE”. She said as everyone knows PPE is in short supply and she wanted to ensure that deputies had the proper equipment to protect themselves.
Sheriff John Hanlin said DCSO appreciated the thoughtfulness of the donation. He said, “this is necessary equipment and is very much appreciated”.
