In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SouthRiver Community Health Center has announced the expansion of its telehealth services for both new and existing patients.
A release said that with telehealth, patients can connect to a provider by phone or video, often on the same day.
SouthRiver’s Chief Operations Officer Michelle Watson said they recognize the importance of helping patients stay connected with their primary care and behavioral health providers during this challenging time.
The release said telehealth services are available during regular clinic hours for patients seeking both medical care and behavioral health services. Due to the increased risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus, SouthRiver is limiting clinic visits to only those who must see their care team in person.
New and existing patients may call SouthRiver at 492-4550 to request telehealth services or visit www.southreiverhealth.org for more information.
