A Freeze Watch is in effect for parts of central Douglas County from Thursday night through Friday morning.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures from 26 to 32 degrees are likely to occur. The Watch area is for the valleys of the southwestern part of the county including Camas Valley, Glendale, Azalea, and Tiller.
Forecasters said that frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Residents should also wrap and drain pipes, or allow them to drip slowly. Those with in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above ground pipes to prevent them from freezing.
The Freeze Watch is in place from 10:00 p.m. Thursday through 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
